The Admin noticeboard is one way through which users can notify administrators of issues needing administrative attention. While users are welcome to directly contact specific administrators (especially if they are seen to be active), posting here can be an easier and quicker way of ensuring that at least one admin will notice an issue and respond to it promptly. Remember to sign (using four tildes: ~~~~) when posting an issue.

Before posting an issue here, please consider the following:

  • This page is for reporting wiki issues. Please post discussions on the talk page.
  • Post only issues that require administrative action, i.e. blocking vandals, protecting pages, restoring deleted pages etc.
  • Do not post deletion requests here. Deletion requests should be made by adding {{delete|reason for deletion request}} to the top of the target page, which will then automatically mark the page as a candidate for deletion.
  • Do not post issues regarding content disputes. Try making a request for comment instead.
  • Mediation requests between users should only be made once a resolution could not be reached between users.
  • For issues regarding the use of this wiki, please see our help center.

In case of vandalism, posting about it here is low priority. Revert it first, anyone can do so. If the vandal created a new page, tag it for deletion. Assume good faith and consider leaving a message on that user's talk page to explain the reason. Post here only if the user has made several disruptive edits and/or persists despite a warning. Always avoid a revert war with the vandal; it is far better to wait until an admin has a chance to intervene. If a user must be reported here, please use {{user}}, preferably as the topic subject/headline.

Current Issues[]

Duplicate Results for Ivory Apex/Apex Senior[]

Seems like there were still redirects on the Apex Senior pages causing the duplicates of Ivory Apex pieces on the Cloth Armor pages. I cleared the content from the Apex Senior pages and marked them with deletion. However I'm not sure if the data needs to be cleared out again by an admin to resolve the issue.--Sanitee (talk) 03:38, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

It looks like Jlee3195 deleted those pages. If the duplicates don't clear themselves out after a while (if they haven't already), then bump this and I'll ask for the maintenance script to be run. The script is a bit drastic/intensive, since it rebuilds ALL of the data on the whole wiki from scratch, so I'd like to see if this will straighten itself out if given a little time. --Sigilbaram (talk) 21:40, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, it still seems that the issue hasn't yet cleared up. Sanitee (talk) 06:03, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
I'm guessing the script was run again since the issues been resolved. However, it seems like some of the data hasn't been rebuilt as items are now missing from the lists, and some items aren't showing crafting uses. --Sanitee (talk) 14:52, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
Yes, it was run. I thought I posted here saying I was going to have it run but evidently I just did it in my head @.@. I'll run a bot on the item pages to fix the missing items. --Sigilbaram (talk) 17:06, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
The bot finished. Are the missing items showing up now? --Sigilbaram (talk) 07:30, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
Nope. :( Equipment lists and crafting materials are still missing items.--Sanitee (talk) 16:06, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
*facepalm* I ran the bot on {{item}} instead of {{infobox item}}. I'll run it again. --Sigilbaram (talk) 17:23, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
Yay! It seems like things are back to normal again. :D Thanks! --Sanitee (talk) 08:08, 4 April 2015 (UTC)

Expression error: Unexpected < operator on Armor Set Total Effects[]

Expression error: Unexpected < operator

The above error displays on Armor Sets like Armageddon & Noblesse, under "Total Effects". After messing around for awhile, it seems like when the total effects tries to auto tally the stats for the set, if a stat is > 1000, the error occurs. I have tried to find a way to fix it, but it seems to be an issue that only it admin can address.

Spelling errors and duplicate pages[]

So I was searching for an item and found it had no details, then found there was another identical item spelled incorrectly. The incorrect one had all the proper information. I merged the pages (Sentinel Bandanna -> Sentinel Bandana) and found more issues when attempting to try and find where the heck the listings are for these #ask queries.

Can an admin run some sort of script to rename incorrect items and merge the pages if needed (otherwise delete old outright)? ie; rename 'bandanna' to 'bandana'. Would avoid a lot of issues and save a lot of time compared to manually editing and merging everything, especially when there's no obvious access to the #ask lists from what I know of right now.

There's a few other issues I've seen when searching for things in the past, but I can't remember them right now, so I'm just mentioning this issue. DAOWAce (talk) 01:09, 6 November 2015 (UTC)

Homepage Update[]

Posted this here since only an Admin is able to update. The homepage's main character image is now missing the newest character, Sylas.

Also, in the Navigation list, Arisha and Sylas are missing from the Character section. An update would be appreciated. Thanks! :) (Also, it might be nice to add some icons or something to that Navigation menu to make it more user friendly.) --Sanitee (talk) 19:48, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

Time to add Delia to the roster as well, even though she will arrive on TW and CN servers for now. --Silverberg (talk) 21:54, 10 January 2016 (MSK)
I added those three to the Navigation list. I contacted Sigilbaram about updating the character image. --Alianin 14:41, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
Thanks! :) --Sanitee (talk) 21:39, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
Sorry for the delay. I must have missed the mail about this page being edited somehow. Do you have a picture with the new characters that you'd want to use for a new version? I think I was given the current one by our design team. I could ask them if they could update it if you don't have one. --Sigilbaram (talk) 02:08, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
No, but I do know you can find really nice screenshots of the characters of Sylas here, and Delia here. I just wanted to add that Delia has only been released in Korea, and soon Taiwan and China, so you may want to keep in mind that an official English character name by the NA and EU team hasn't been made yet. (Even though in the Korean promotion her name was spelled in English as Delia, Sylas was promoted previously in Korea under the name of Hagie) --Sanitee (talk) 02:31, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
So it turns out that image was actually made by someone at Nexon when they helped us with the wiki's skin update. We're seeing if we can get in contact with them again for an updated version. --Sigilbaram (talk) 21:46, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
Oh thanks! :) I actually ended up making one if you were interested in using for the time being. --Sanitee (talk) 00:54, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
WikiCharactersTest
Also, another suggestion, may we add icons/buttons to the Navigation list on the homepage? It'll be nice to have some images to maybe help break up the text or something. :) Sanitee (talk) 06:49, 7 February 2016 (UTC)

Buggy spam filter[]

I attempted to update this wiki page (http://vindictus.gamepedia.com/Skill_Awakening) with a bullet list, and the wiki refused to let me save the edits because it detected "nonsensical anon edits".

The edits i was attempting to make was :

   Rank F : 30 durability restored
   Rank E : 60 durability restored
   Rank D : 90 durability restored
   Rank C : 180 durability restored

And it refused to let me save it without logging in. Can you please fix the spam filter because its very difficult for non-registered users to make edits. Question2 (talk) 04:02, 26 February 2016 (UTC)

(This was mistakenly placed at the top of the noticeboard instead of the bottom - I've moved it for visibility! BriannaMCR (talk) 16:41, 14 March 2016 (UTC))

CSS style: Make link blue[]

I suggest changing the link color to blue. Here is the color: #a8dbff

Now the links are white and merge with the text. You can determine that there is a word in the test that is a link only by pointing the cursor. This is very wrong. Kaiver (talk) 13:36, 8 December 2022 (UTC)

The change has been implemented. Silverberg44 (talk) 19:23, 12 December 2022 (MSK)

Add CSS fix for Vindictus Wiki/Flex section to make "Equipment" and "Game System" appear in two columns only ON THE DESKTOP[]

In the Vindictus Wiki/Flex section template, I made the following changes:

  • Divided "List of Equipments", "List of Game Systems" by divs into two separate columns. One div with class="first-column" and another with class="second-column".

So that all the "Accessories" and "Titles" group of lines are displayed in full in their column.

Need to solve the problem that has arisen: "Equipment" and "Game System" sub-sections are now displayed in two columns in the mobile version too. In order for them to be displayed like this only ON THE DESKTOP, need to do the following:

1) Add a css rule that would only affect the desktop version. For example:

.fpbox .first-column .nomobile {
   float: left;
   width: 50%;
}

2) In Wiki/Flex section at line 57 and 84

<div class="first-column" style="float: left; width: 50%;">

delete style="float: left; width: 50%;" as unnecessary so that there is no css inline garbage in the code.

Since I don't have access to edit Common.css file, I ask the administrator to help. Kaiver (talk) 15:39, 12 December 2022 (UTC)

The changes have been implemented. Gotta check if this change affects anything else along the way. Silverberg44 (talk) 19:23, 12 December 2022 (MSK)
