Vindictus Wiki

Re:Problem with Vella and Evie images[]

Hi, welcome to the wiki! I took a look at the template but I'm not sure why it's doing that. I'll pass it on to Nedigo, as he's much more proficient with templates than I am. One thing that we will be doing in the new year is changing the templates used on this wiki. Most of our templates are confusing and cluttered, and we would rather lessen the reliance on said templates and move pages to a more wiki-friendly format. For now, you can just upload the images with the name like you have been doing, and when the template gets fixed it'll link up to them correctly.

If you ever have any more problems or have any questions, feel free to pop into the Curse Wiki Chat and chat with us. Sigilbaram, Nedigo, Wyn and me (Masquerine) are usually in it. You can also post on my talk page and I'll gladly get back to you. --Masqtalk 01:11, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

Re:Drop list (season 2)[]

Thank you for the suggestion on using a table for the Season 2 drop list. After talking with Sigilbaram and Nedigo, we modified the table idea and added it in to the Season 2 pages.
You can usually find us in the Curse Wiki Chat. Feel free to hop in and chat with us. --Masqtalk 23:30, 09 September 2013 (UTC)

About Expertise Crafts[]

First, I saw you have been doing a lot of edits lately and therefore thank you for it. Secondly, I'm sorry I haven't pointed that out yet but we're supposed to have a new plugin called Semantic Media Wiki (or simply SMW) installed soon... (soon might seem relative to Curse Staff though >.<). Basicly what this plugin will let us do is gather information from other pages with a simple line. So on a certain material item page we could ask the wiki to search for all other item pages that uses the item in question in it's craft... You might have seen me coming there. This would most likely mean Category:"Items_Crafted_With_Expertise"_Categories will become meaningless once we installed SMW. But I can't tell for sure about the use of these categories since I haven't really looked into those templates. I'm not trying to say anything was done wrong, on the opposite, I was worried about how much work would be placed from your side into something that might become meaningless soon. If you ever have any question, or anything you would like to discuss feel free to join us on the IRC were you would most likely find Masquerine, Sigil or me. Even though it's named "Curse Wiki" only members from this wiki are there :) → Nedigo talk ― 13:15, 23 January 2013 (UTC)

As one of our more active editors I wanted to make sure to let you know what has been going on now that the SMW extension has been installed. We've been working on new templates and formatting that take advantage of SMW. In general the pages will be more like a normal wiki rather than being filled by giant full page templates and such. We've gotten a decent amount of the work done on the Item/Equipment infobox: {{Infobox item}} . Because of a bug in our version of mediawiki that template currently has <includeonly> so you can't actually see it on the template page.
The page Crescent Moon, and the crafting materials it uses have been converted to the new format. We're still working on the set and list templates, but so far it looks like things are going fairly well.
Oh we've also made a new NPC format that you can see on Ferghus. The shop list content template still needs to be done, but the craft list template is up (Still trying to figure out when it is displaying the item count as a link in the materials). Our goal is also to try and document things to an extent, although with hopping around between templates we have been a little lax on that so far haha. One of the best parts of all of this is we don't need to worry as much about things breaking because someone forgot to put <noinclude> around a notice or something. Transclusion is no longer used on regular articles.
If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, etc. feel free to bring them up, either on our talk pages or the IRC. You're a big content contributor so it would be nice to get your opinion on things (if you have one) rather than us just throwing them at you. --Sigil Baramtalk 18:24, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
