I'm investigating here! Although no one should have changed the settings to the wiki, uploading should be fine. --Bumbletalk 15:50, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

It should be fixed. --Bumbletalk 18:38, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for the msg. I didn't think anyone even read that Q&A page. Um well I would edit the Mining Guide etc but as I said, I have no idea how Kulnaro came up with those battle quest maps. I will try looking around for someone who knows, or if you know someone who has some experience with fiddling with Vindictus' program files, point me in their direction if you can. Thanks again. :) Glamglamglam 00:31, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Heyo, I was wondering if you had MSN, AIM or Skype? --Bumbletalk 17:09, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

Hello! I want to thank you for everything you have done for the Vindictus Wiki. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Tesla, a wiki manager for Curse. The reason I am posting on your talk page is for some feedback. I was hoping you could tell me if there was something you would like to see on the wiki or if you think there is something we could do to help improve the quality of our service to the community. If you have any ideas at all, please feel free to stop by on my talk page and leave my your thoughts. Thank you! Tesla 23:30, 27 October 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for taking out the trash. Lol @ the recent changes. I'd do it if I could, but the best I can do is mark 'em for you or someone else to find. All those spam links and pages annoy me so much. >.< --Masqtalk 04:58, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
Quite a bit of spammers for you today! Trolololol. Been a constant back and forth with them today. --Masqtalk 21:19, 12 January 2012 (UTC)

Skill Books removed[]

Since skill books where removed should we add a "price" field to the Skill Page template? I haven't played much recently but if I remember right from the little I have been online you still have to "buy" the skills in the skill menu. It's been a while though. --Sigil Baramtalk 05:51, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

I just thought I'd answer and confirm your question here, if you don't mind me intruding. Most of the skills that you unlock do have a gold cost associated with them that you must pay before you can put AP into that skill. There are a few that are given for free through stories, but the majority you have to pay to unlock with gold. I think adding a "price" field to the Skill Page template would be a good idea to show this. --Masqtalk 06:24, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
I agree with Masquetine, there's no more physical books but there is still a payment needed to unlock skills. I suppose you could add a "price" field, I've just been adding the price info in the "How to Obtain" section. --Ɛαmes - ταłκ 16:09, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
Well the How to Obtain field will need to be updated on pretty much every skill page anyway. It basically comes down to how we want that section of skill pages formatted. A lot of skills probably had their level requirements changed because of this as well. Many skills relied on the level requirement of their skill books for unlocking and had req level 1 for ranks. Blind Arrow for example used to be req level 1 up till rank A which was req 20 even though you couldn't use the skill book till level 38. Now all it's ranks are Req level 38. Do we want to list the unlock level somewhere under How to Obtain or just rely on the rank A level req in the tables?
Do we want to use the prerequisite field? I can adjust the format used by it and/or the name. Personally I think requires would make more sense. Or we can get rid of it if we just want to use obtain. The field has been there since day 1 but only ever sees intermittent use if used anywhere at all. We should use these fields consistently (ie put level and skill requirements in the same order) and if they aren't used at all removed them from the template (I don't remember seeing prerequisites in use in a long time). --Sigil Baramtalk 18:07, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

RE: Enemies Listing[]

Thought I replied to this already DX. I'm not sure. The page that lists all the spiders is transcluding the other pages so it's not that big and the only maintenance that needs to be done to it is adding or removing spiders from the page. We need the individual pages, At least for the time being because battle pages transclude the individual mob pages to generate their list of mobs, making the formatted table at the bottom. Having the list page there isn't hurting anything and might be helpful to some people. I would say just keep both. --Sigil Baramtalk 15:47, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

I saw that Akumo had made the Spiders page the one day and I used that idea for the Giant Polar Bear. Previously the bear had both White Tyrant and Red Tyrant redirect to Giant Polar Bear, and the page was a mash-up of both of the bosses skills/drops/advice/notes on only one boss battle page and would be very confusing to decipher. They didn't even make use of the "skills" section and instead listed the bear's attacks in the "advice" section (this was incomplete as well). I made the White Tyrant and Red Tyrant have their own pages and made the Giant Polar Bear behave like the Spiders page, simply listing both of the Tyrant pages. The bear will appear in a third battle eventually, so the Giant Polar Bear page will be even more useful to keep all the variants of the bear separate, but located in the same place. I also changed the bear's picture to clearly distinguish between the two. White Tyrant being all white and clean, red being bloody and mean. --Masqtalk 16:52, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
Yeah the Giant Polar Bear page was pretty horrible. Thanks for separating those. I seem to remember it being mentioned at one point before (months ago) but evidently no one did anything with it. --Sigil Baramtalk 17:21, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

I was meaning to ask you what you did for the images on the +5 shining will stuff. Did you just make a page for the file and then add a redirect to the existing shining will pictures? I'll add in the other 2 sets and the weapons soon (shining will and barbarian +5 were added already). I saved the other sets as pictures so I can look at them and then make the necessary pages to complete the limited battle supplies event.
What about the equipment pictures for other sets, are we going by the help and guidelines page for that (and are we adding in a gallery extra like on the Paladin Transformation page? --Masqtalk 03:03, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

For images involving the minimap battle area, are we supposed to just screenshot and crop it so it's all nice and pretty? As in no player icons shown on map, vision cone removed, game background removed (map has transparency and it's painfully obvious sometimes). I've taken a look and noticed there are maps for Perilous Ruins, Hoarfrost Hollow and a few others, but things like Fomorian Base and Albey won't have any they will need to be supplied. I think I remember reading somewhere that someone used to extract them from the data files so they would be clean already, so I'm just wondering if that would be a feasible approach to supplying all the missing maps instead of screenshot+cropping like I was planning on doing. What are your thoughts? --Masqtalk 23:09, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

I've looked into the data files before a bit, but the best I was able to come up with was viewing texture files (just the flat textures, not like a model viewer with the textures on or anything) of mobs/armor and things. Didn't cross any maps (there was over 1200 zipped files, each containing lots of files). I didn't look too long into it though, so it might be possible for me to view them already if I can just find them lol. If you know anything about it let me know. Would save so much time to compile the missing maps and some other things if I could simply extract them from the files. --Masqtalk 23:33, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Please don't permanban ip addresses. Thanks! --Wynthyst 05:45, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

Some background info: The reason we don't perma ban IP addresses is that most IP address are temporary and we just end up blocking random people down the line if we perma ban IP's. --Sigil Baramtalk 19:18, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
User accounts are different. Go ahead and perma ban registered users who spam. --Sigil Baramtalk 05:25, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

Raider's Set Error[]

Not quite sure what is causing it, but there's an error on the Raider's Set page with the weight. It reads: "Weight: Expression error: Unrecognised punctuation character "{" stones". I took a look at all of the raider pages for it but I didn't notice anything out of place, though I might be too tired to notice :D. Take a look at it when you can and see if you can figure out what's wrong with it. --Masqtalk 04:13, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

The Spider Cloth Set has a similar error on occasion. I'm not sure if someone actually figured it out or if this is just a random error that comes and goes. --Sigil Baramtalk 05:35, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
Looked at the pages and found the issue. The boots had {{incomplete}} instead of |incomplete=yes. The parser function was picking up that. It seemed odd cause the Spider Cloth error complains about '<' not '{'. --Sigil Baramtalk 05:54, 17 January 2012 (UTC)

Fury Infusion EU[]

I have added the stuff I could gather for the EU version of Fury Infusion. I know jack about wiki editing, so could someone create that page? --Felsmukk 10:23, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

RE:Re: Upload Page?[]

Well as you can see Masq already told me all that but thx for the help anyway :) --Jleetalk 02:50, 10 June 2012 (UTC)

Equipment Page[]

Responding here because that seems to be how it's done? Anyway, it would be redundant, yes. It wouldn't hurt anything though, would just be a little line of code that isn't needed. Basdeth 01:49, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Hullo again! Since you've been helping out by implementing the screenshot tabs on a lot of pages, I figured I should alert you to a change that I made. The tabs are now populated based on the characters listed in the restriction parameter for the Equipment template and class parameter for the Set template. screenshottab still needs to be set (any text will do, just so long as it isn't blank), so that each page can be looked over before the tabs are added. But now there is only one place for the list of characters, instead of two. Basdeth 05:11, 26 June 2012 (UTC)

I really need help for this[]

Can you help me? (click) --Jleetalk 04:04, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
Can you help me put this File:Monster Scroll- Blood Lord.png on this Monster Scroll: Blood Lord. --Jleetalk 15:17, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

File:Unknown Area.png[]

That was a really impressive idea! I love it! --Jleetalk 02:33, 22 June 2012 (UTC)

Item Icon[]

Hey how can you get an item icons without those black borders? --Jleetalk 00:59, 9 July 2012 (UTC)

Umm. Sorry, but I don't quite get what you mean.
Yes, now I get it. Thx for your help.
