Ask Kirstie about the Polar Bear.

Kirstie That bear... He was an obstacle I never dreamed I'd overcome. For some reason, this reminds me of my master. Have I ever told you about Hakam? Hakam Kahkrene was known as "the Sharpshooter" because he was dead-on with his bow and dagger. Must have been after all those years of practice, chasing game across entire continents. He was a living legend. (Kirstie smiles at the memory.) He ran a shop in Rocheste, and it was packed with would- be apprentices. Arthyen used to trim the leather, holding Dolores on his back, and chase everyone out of the store. Those are Hakam's kids, Arthyen and Dolores. Anyway, Arthyen almost kicked me out too, soon as I walked in, but I insisted on saying [sic] because I had nowhere else to go. I started to work at the shop, and Arthyen and I became good friends. Two years later, Hakam finally returned. While he didn't take me as an apprentice, he let me train under him, and Arthyen... (Kirstie shakes her head.) There are so many things I wish I could say to my master...to give him my thanks, and my apologies. But one day, he left. Tell me more about your encounter with that tyrant of a Polar Bear. (Kirstie laughs.) For the mightier-than-thou lord of Hoarfrost Hollow to be defeated by a young mercenary? Had to have hurt his pride! It's like what happened to my master. Never knew defeat until he battled that one monster... (Kirstie clenches her teeth.) I want to get revenge for him. Let me know if you hear anything, okay?

Talk to Gallagher who has just returned from Hoarfrost Hollow.

Gallagher I almost lost my head out there! So, this lady at the Forge tells me about these jewels in Hoarfrost Hollow, right? I decide to check it out. I'm walking around the place when this humongous son-of-a-whore bear comes chasing after me! He went after my jewels, if you know, what I mean... Of course, I faced him head on, because I'm me. But you? Ha! You wouldn't last a minute out there!

Kirstie The bear was enraged? Makes sense. After all, he is the white tyrant of Hoarfrost Hollow. He wants revenge... Just as I want to avenge my master's death, he probably wants to fight you again. Brynn You fought the Polar Bear twice? And you're alive. Hmm... (Brynn studies you.) Anyway, that bear's blood has phenomenal capabilities. When you fought him, did you notice that sometimes he seems heavier and sometimes he seems lighter? That's because of his blood, which has the capability to change the weight of objects. If you combine equipment made from Polar Bear leather with White Tyrant Blood... Yes! I believe you can make cloth and heavy armor. Bring it to me, and I can craft it for you.
