Just leave me alone fer ten minutes while I tell yer friend
some spooky stories.
(Turhan watches as Cennet sulks out the door.)
Attached to me like a barnacle, that one.
Now then, it was a stormy night. A REAL stormy night.
The kind that'll tear the barnacles off yer gunwales.
I'm mannin' the helm, leadin' us through a pass that only
a master navigator like meself could survive...
When I hear a voice cuttin' through the wind...
Cuttin' through my soul.
That's the last thing I remember before I wake up.
One of the deckhands lost a mooring that cracked me over
the head something fierce.
I clear the stars outta me eyes and I see a rock.
Only it's not a rock. It's a ship, stickin' outta the sea!
There's hundreds of 'em. Thousands! An island of ships.
The first matey's screamin' at the crew, my boatswain
is on the helm, tryin' to jibe the wind.
So I wipe the blood outta my eyes, push aside the flounder,
and take over, savin' us from addin' to the island.
And when I look up, I swear to every god in the ocean
depths, I see something lookin' back at me.
A woman. Fat as the day is long with tentacles where her
legs ought to be!
Afterwards, the crew said I was crazy, but I knew.
The sirens came a'callin', and I almost answered.
(Turhan pauses for a moment to think.)
I've never seen a ghost or a zombie. The sea's got enough
trouble without 'em. Maybe a druid could help ye out.
That's about all the sea tales I've got in me today.
