The area is very similar to the [[Perilous Ruins]], with the exception of tougher enemies and an overcast, sometimes rainy environment. Many of the enemies are Gnolls, with more complex fighting patterns and better equipment than those of the [[Perilous Ruins]]. Some enemies look and act similarly to the [[Gnoll Chieftain|Red Gnoll Chieftain]], with similar equipment and attack patterns. The Ruins of Sanctity are also much more evolved than the [[Perilous Ruins]] in terms of traps and obstacles. One notable trap type is walls that close in on the player, pushing them into a pit or slamming them into a wall.
