Tell Gwynn at the Mercenary Outpost what happened at the prairie entrance.
Gwynn (NPC Icon).png Gwynn

Must you ALWAYS disobey orders? Last time, it was Ainle. This

You know, if you hadn't gone to Ainle, Ellis would still be--

(Gwynn takes a deep breath.)
Nevermind. Forget I said that. I'm just...tense.

Do you understand the situation you've put me in?
There is a severe punishment for crossing the river.

Not only are you banned from participating in Royal Army
activities, but there may even be a bounty on your head now!

I will grant you one chance to redeem yourself. You mentioned
seeing gnolls at the Prairie Entrance, correct?

Investigate the area. Thoroughly. Bring me proof that the gnolls
are in the prairie.

You received information on Battle: Prairie Gnoll.

You learned the Story: So Sorry.
Find the Unreadable Document in Prairie Gnoll and bring it to Gwynn.
Gwynn (NPC Icon).png Gwynn

You found a...document? It appears to be written in the Fomorian
tongue. Wait, no... Something seems off.

Captain Aodhan. Can you read this?

Aodhan (NPC Icon).png Aodhan

Let me take a look.

Aodhan (NPC Icon).png Aodhan

(Aodhan glimpses at the document and shakes his head.)
Gwynn's right. This isn't in the Fomorian tongue.

Gwynn (NPC Icon).png Gwynn

What do you suppose it is?

Aodhan (NPC Icon).png Aodhan

It's very similar. My guess is that this document is written in
Gnollish, the language of the gnolls.

I can't read the document, but this seal at the bottom... This is the
gnoll king's emblem. This document must be written by him.

Gwynn (NPC Icon).png Gwynn

Time is of the essence here. I don't know if we have time to contact
Rocheste or if we should take action immediately...

Marrec (NPC Icon).png Marrec

(Marrec fidgets as if he wants to say something.)

Gwynn (NPC Icon).png Gwynn

(Gwynn spears him a look.)

Marrec (NPC Icon).png Marrec

Well, why don't we just ask Kirstie? I'm pretty sure she can read

Gwynn (NPC Icon).png Gwynn

Kirstie? The huntress merchant? Why should a hunter know this

Marrec (NPC Icon).png Marrec

(Marrec shrugs.)
I think Kirstie used to visit the gnolls in the ruins all the time.

'Course, that was back when we all still got along, before the war.
She must know how to communicate with them.

Gwynn (NPC Icon).png Gwynn

I do not like to involve civilians, but I don't see how we have
much choice.

<Sylas>, show this document to huntress Kirstie and ask
her to translate it for you.

Reward: Unreadable Document
Gwynn (NPC Icon).png Gwynn

I'll be waiting.

Ask Kirstie to decipher the Unreadable Document.
Kirstie (NPC Icon).png Kirstie

What do you have there... Is that a gnollish document?
I can read a little Gnollish. Let me take a look.

(Kirstie studies the document, then looks at you, brow furrowed.)
Who's Shakarr? Nevermind, let me read this to you first.

"The chief that opposed us has been a human, no less.
The remaining gnolls have united and agreed to join you."

"Our main forces have congregated in the Ruins of Sanctity to
prepare to attack. Rampage will lead them to the prairie."

"I will lead the rest to join them after first sealing the Ruins of
Sanctity. The entire gnoll race vows complete loyalty to Shakarr."

(Kirstie looks at you.)
It's signed by Gnoll King Black Scar.

Is this accurate? Is the black-furred one now the uncontested king
of the gnolls? Their opponent must have been the Red Gnoll.

(Kirstie looks more grave then you've ever seen her.)
What is going on, <Sylas>? What is this document?

(You explain what you know to Kirstie.)

Kirstie (NPC Icon).png Kirstie

(Kirstie shakes her head.)
That can't be right. The gnolls can't have joined the Fomors.

I need you to do me a huge favor, <Sylas>.
Tell no one what this document says. Tell them I couldn't read it.

Please. I... I need to go to the Ruins of Sanctity and
investigate this matter myself. Buy me some time. I beg you.
