Ferghus is a seasoned blacksmith with years of experience, usually found at the Forge.
Ferghus descends from the long family tree of blacksmiths, as their superb skills at forging weapons and armor were passed down through generations, until they were eventually passed on to Ferghus. His skills with hammer are so impressive, that even people in Rocheste have heard about him.
Contrary to his incredible skill at craftsmanship, he has a bad habit that is as famous as his creations. On the night when the moon is full, Ferghus tends to have his hands slipping, which often leads to serious damage of equipment he’s been working on.
Despite that, he enjoys working at the Forge, happily whistling a song and taking short naps. Moreover, everyone don’t seem to think too much about him always getting drunk from the Colhen village’s specialty, the Iced Strawberry Brandy, and even the olive branch left by Rocheste citizens hasn’t escaped his hungry eyes.
"Ah, I might've pushed myself too hard yesterday. My arm throbs."
"Last Valentine's Day, I got a cartload of chocolates. Having too many admirers can be quite a pain. Give them a little attention and women start to expect things..."
"(Ferghus laughs heartily.) Singing boosts motivation! Try it sometime."
Ferghus can also be found as a blacksmith in the game Mabinogi: Fantasy Life. He is infamous for his failure rate while repairing (90%; the lowest of all (but one) repair rates). Even the NPCs say his repair job is lousy.
Sometimes after repairing, Ferghus will say "Oops, my hand slipped," a reference to his notorious failures in Mabinogi: Fantasy Life.
Ferghus is well-known in Mabinogi fanbase by the nickname "Trillion Destroyer".
