Talk to Ceara.

Ceara Hey, you've really gotten good at using magic. I sometimes want to try magic, but I think I'm more suited for swords. I'm a little jealous of you, though. Gallagher Jealous? Of her? Pffft! Until she can blow up small town like Colhen, she's got nothing. (Gallagher turns to you.) What? You gonna cry? Offended? Then run to Brynn. But he ain't going to teach you anything good anyway.

Ask Brynn about stronger magic.

Brynn What do you need? (You explain that you need stronger magic.) Well your magic should be suitable for your skill level. What do you need with stronger magic? Are you hoping to fell enormous foes with a single spell? No such spell exists. Well, not one you could use. However...hmmm. What say you do me a favor? Get through Battle Quest Brynn's Research. I will tell you more afterwards. You didn't think such power came easily, did you? Now, off with you.
